My name is Nancy (Topolinski) Dercher and I have been drawing since I was old enough to hold a crayon. I attended Kendall College of Art and Design (Grand Rapids, MI) where I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (BFA) in Visual Communications, with an emphasis in illustration.

Having a natural ability to draw, write and rhyme, I seek to create books that are both educational and entertaining. In 2018, I completed my first published book, "Moses Smells the Roses". "Pip Takes a Trip" was finalized in 2021 and I am currently working to finish more books in the "Fancy Cats" series. I believe that the art of rhyming can be a helpful aid when learning to read and so I usually choose to write in this fashion. Theodore Geisel and Stan & Jan Berenstein had always been my inspiration and I believe that my literary strengths are a result of reading their books when I was a child.

I have a collection of other written pieces that are also in development. The topics range from health and nutrition to humorous everyday adult matters.

Being an active person, I lift weights, practice yoga, play sports when I can and stay busy with my family. I continue to paint, draw, write, cook/bake, sew and work on miscellaneous projects in my free time. There isn't a lot of "free" time!
